Active Alerts Page Explained

Here's a quick guide to help you get the most out of the Active Alerts page.

Filtering and Searching for Alerts

Above the main table, you'll find a toolbar with several options to help you pinpoint specific alerts:

  • Filter by Alert Profile, Severity, or Labels to narrow down the alerts to a specific type.
  • Filter by Business Hours to see alerts that occurred during or outside of your configured working hours.
  • Use the Date/Time Range Picker to focus on a specific period.
  • The Search bar on the right lets you find alerts containing specific keywords.

Exporting Alerts to CSV

You can export one or more alerts for reporting or external analysis:

  1. Select the alerts you want to export using the checkboxes on the left side of the table.
  2. Click the "Active Alerts selected: [count]" button above the table.
  3. From the dropdown menu, choose "Export selected Active Alerts as CSV".

Deleting Alerts

You can remove alerts individually or in bulk:

  • To delete a single alert, click on it to open the details drawer, then click the trash can icon in the drawer's header.
  • To delete multiple alerts, select them using the checkboxes. Click the "Active Alerts selected: [count]" button and choose "Delete selected Active Alerts" from the menu. You'll be asked to confirm before the alerts are permanently removed.

Viewing Alert Details

To investigate an alert, simply click on its row in the table. A drawer will appear on the right with two main sections:

  • General Information: Provides a quick overview, including the alert summary, when it occurred, its severity, and any associated labels.
  • Payload Details: Contains the raw, detailed data for the alert, organized into tabs for in-depth analysis.
